French Onion Soup!

Soften a stick butter in a big soup pot. Add four sliced onions, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 20 minutes, till the onions are caramelized.

Add 1/2 bottle purple wine and convey to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes till the wine nearly vanishes. Sprinkle in a couple of tbsp of flour and stir nicely. Prepare dinner on low for 5-10 min. Add eight cups beef broth & carry to a boil. Simmer 10 min.

When you have oven-safe bowls: Fill your bowls w soup and place a slice of baguette on prime. High with Swiss and/or Gruyere cheese (I used each). Broil till cheese will get crispy.

Should you don’t have oven protected bowls: Place cheese on baguette slices and broil till cheese will get crispy. Place bread slice onto soup.
